See the unbelivable list of 29 luxury properties seized for 3 Air Chiefs; Amosu, Gbadebo & Adigun

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission seized 29 properties from three retired Air Force Chiefs ( Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, Air Vice Marshal Jacob Adigun and Air Commodore Olugbenga Gbadebo) who will be arraigned for stealing this week.

According to Punch, the siezed properties included three plazas, six mansions, a quarry, a hospital, a block of flats, animal farms, a school, two hotels, some uncompleted buildings and some parcels of land.

The seized properties, mostly acquired in 2014, were 11 for Amosu, 12 for Adigun and 6 for Gbadebo.
They are accused of stealing N21.467 billion.

Amosu has returned N2.3 billion. Properties seized from Amosu are :

N250 house in Victoria Island
N110 million duplex in GRA Ikeja
N40 million property in Abuja
N33 million 5-bedroom house in Port Harcourt
$2.15 million Hospital in Ikeja
N95 million house in Abuja

Properties seized from Adigun worth N9.6 billion are :

Shopping plaza worth N980 million
Mansion worth N450 million
Another N710 million mansion
4 terrace unit worth N720 million
35 room hotel (uncompleted)
Land in Ikoyi
N1.8 billion service flats
$694,000 quarry

For Gbadebo, the properties seized are :

N10 million fish farm.
N20 million poultry, located at Musa Close, Oyibo Ayobu, Lagos.
Bloomsville International School, Divine Estate, Isheri-Olofin , off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

A source hinted that, “Adigun spent most of his own share of the money on properties and so we did not recover much cash from him. Amosu, however, returned over N2.3bn and raised two bank drafts.”

Oritsefemi gets former manager, Danku arrested for impersonation, theft and conspiracy

2016 has been a year of celebrity scandals.

Tthe Lagos state police command stormed the Muson Centre, Onikan, to arrest Oritsefemi’s former manager, Yusuf Adepitan, also known as Danku.

According to the NET, the arrest took place on the red carpet of the comedy concert Pencil Unbroken which held yesterday night at the Muson centre and industry sources confirm Oritsefemi is behind the arrest.

The arrest is by all accounts linked to his beef with Danku which started last year. “It was like a Hollywood movie, they just stormed the red carpet and whisked him away” said an eyewitness.

They further said: ‘After months of hide and seek, the long arm of the law caught up with Danku last night and he had no hiding place. He was picked up by officers of the Nigerian Police force at the Muson centre on the red carpet of Pencil Unbroken event for theft, conspiracy and impersonation’.

The relationship between Oritesefemi and Danku started going south in 2014 after the singer accused Danku of stealing money from him and also claiming ownership of his MSN record label. In January, the 31-year-old singer threatened to arrest Danku and his mother for conspiring against him and making threats to his life, but this arrest did not happen until yesterday.

Danku is said to have since been taken to Zone 2, Police command in Onikan, Lagos.

Court grants bail to Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu, adjourns case to 11th July

According to Sahara Reporters, Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu have been granted bail and case adjourned to July 11th

In Kwara, stealing cooked food on fire is now the order of the day

Amidst the stinging hardship occasioned by the present economic recession in the country, the spate of insecurity is rising and taking a tinge of the ridiculous by the day.

In Kwara State, cooking a pot of soup is now an invitation to robbers, as cases of eagle-eyed hungry men absconding with cooked food still on the fire is now a daily occurrence.

The incident is widespread in areas without perimeter fencing and among women who cook or have opted to cook with coal pots. At each of such areas such as Tanke, Basin, Sango, Offa Garage, and Kilanko, the incident according to The Guardian investigations occurred over five times in just a week.

According to Alhaja Hamidalat Olawale at Sango, “I was cooking around 5.00p.m. in readiness for the breaking of the fast for the day. It was beans and I decided to use coal pot at the open backyard. I had added all the food condiments and was waiting for the broth to dry up. But to my greatest surprise, I did not see the pot of the beans again.

“I was shocked discovering this. What amazed me was that the thief did not come for it before it was ready; he or she came when the food was ready and we were already salivating, meaning the person must have been closely monitoring me.”

Another victim, an undergraduate of the University of Ilorin, Anita Bazuaye, said it was her pot of soup that disappeared beside her window.

“It was painful because as a student, it was difficult for me to get money again for another soup. In fact, when I managed to start cooking again, I did not leave the place until I had securely packed the pot inside my room.”

Reacting to the development, the Police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi (ASP), said no formal report to that effect had come to him or anyone within the state command, but warned that “it is a serious matter and we will not take it lightly with anyone caught in the act. The Penal Code frowns at theft and we will treat anyone in the act accordingly.”

A former chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state, Emmanuel Ayeoribe, said the development could not be divorced from the non-payment of workers’ salaries.

“If nothing is urgently done to commence regular payment of salaries, very soon, people will start leaping over the fence to steal food, not just from unfenced quarters,” he warned.
